Hello! My name is Alicia. I live in beautiful North Idaho with my border collie/black lab mutt. I enjoy trail riding, hiking, and generally anything that takes me out of doors. During the cold, white months, I enjoy reading and baking for family and friends.

As a result of working with the legal department at the Department of Justice for the last 16 years, I have had the opportunity to fine-tune my proofreading skills. I have become familiar with the many words and phrases that are unique to the court systems, whether they be federal, state, or local jurisdictions. Inconsistencies, formatting, and symmetry tend to jump off the page at me.

Court reporting can be a stressful career with impossible deadlines and, at times, an overabundant workload. My goal is to provide a service to make your work life a tad bit easier.

My studies have taken me through The Gregg Reference Manual, Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, and Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation by Margie Wakeman Wells. In addition, I have also completed the Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice course. I will work hard to accommodate your individual preferences as well.

The flexibility of being able to work from home is what I have looked forward to the most. I am thrilled to be able to use my knack for spelling and punctuation errors and turn it into a business.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to discussing with you how I might be of assistance!
